A fifth of mum’s say their special day is normally over by midday, as “normal service” resumes after just six hours.
This Sunday the supermarket will reserve one or two lanes for mums in all of its 491 stores nationwide.
The checkouts will be staffed by specially selected assistants, with the aim to make the experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.
In addition, Morrisons staff will help entertain children while mum’s are packing away shopping.
There will also be 30,000 pink Gerbera flowers handed out at stores to mum’s visiting stores.
