Elf – A Christmas Spectacular Tickets now available for Winter 2018

Who watched Elf Live at Christams last year (YES LAST YEAR!) If you are like us and love a good live show then this will be memorable for you!

Elf, the West End and Broadway musical based on the Hollywood blockbuster film, will tour the UK this December, transformed into a Christmas spectacular.

The musical will take to Cardiff, Birmingham and Nottingham, starring pop legend David Essex in the role of Buddy the Elf’s father, and actor and singer Martine McCutcheon as Buddy’s girlfriend, Jovie.

Tam Ryan will take on the role of Buddy, made famous in the movie by comedy star Will Ferrell.

West End star Louise English will play Buddy’s stepmother, with the cast also featuring Father Christmas and a line-up of 70 performers. The spectacular stage show will include children from local Pauline Quirke Academy stage schools.

David Essex includes the likes of Evita and War Of The Worlds in his stage repertoire. “I’m really looking forward to taking Elf on tour,” he says of his role in Elf. “The big special effects that we have lined-up are incredible, including a giant sleigh which will fly across the arena, an indoor snow blizzard and lots of skating which all adds to this perfect Christmas story.”

Martine McCutcheon adds: “I’m absolutely delighted to be appearing in this wonderful show. Elf is without doubt one of the all-time great Christmas movies, so I hope audiences in Cardiff, Birmingham and Nottingham will love this production just as much as the film!”

Elf first opened in London’s Dominion Theatre, bringing the tale of Buddy the Elf leaving Santa at the North Pole to seek his real father in New York to life. The new production features a book by Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan (AnnieThe ProducersHairspray), and an original score of new songs.

The staging will boast giant screens in front of the 5,000 seat arena layout, with a 70 foot wide stage. Some scenes will take place above and around the audience.
